The Centers for Housing Opportunity operates on a collective impact model, forming and facilitating cross-sector partnerships to work towards a single goal: regional housing affordability. CHO is a strategic alliance between three core organizations: The Housing Collective, LISC Connecticut, and Partnership for Strong Communities, in partnership with place-based community foundations and anchor organizations in Fairfield County, Litchfield County, and Eastern Connecticut.
Alliance for Living is the only HIV/AIDS service organization and resource center in southeastern Connecticut that also deals with homelessness and assists people dealing with substance use disorder.
The Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG) leads as a catalyst to enhance the quality of life, vibrancy, and vitality of the Greater Hartford region. CRCOG provides planning, programs, and services to its member municipalities and is the region’s designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO). CRCOG is a strong advocate for the region and regional solutions.
The Coalition on Diversity & Equity (CoDE) is a 501(c)3 nonpartisan, educational organization, serving the communities of Andover, Columbia, East Hampton, Hebron, and Marlborough. CoDE is led completely by volunteers, who are active members of their community. Our mission is to build more diverse, equitable and vibrant communities. Our goals include increasing community awareness and equal access to housing, education and jobs.
The Commons Community Development Corporation was created to address need for affordable housing beginning in Hebron and eventually expanding to other communities within Connecticut. Currently, too many individuals and families, including those who work in high income towns with little affordable housing, cannot afford to live there. This includes young professionals, families and seniors.
Community Foundation of Eastern CT brings people together to work towards a healthy, thriving, sustainable Eastern Connecticut with greater equity for all. They achieve this by collaborating with partners to put philanthropy into action to address the needs, rights and interests of our community.

The Department of Housing (DOH) strengthens and revitalizes communities by promoting affordable housing opportunities. DOH seeks to eliminate homelessness and to catalyze the creation and preservation of quality, affordable housing to meet the needs of all individuals and families statewide to ensure that Connecticut continues to be a great place to live and work.

The RiverCOG region is comprised of the seventeen member municipalities of Chester, Clinton, Cromwell, Deep River, Durham, East Haddam, East Hampton, Essex, Haddam, Killingworth, Lyme, Middlefield, Middletown, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook, Portland and Westbrook. The Chief Elected/Executive Officials of each municipality sit on the RiverCOG board, which along with our two regional transit districts and chamber of commerce, serves as the region’s Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) policy board.

The Homeless Hospitality Center is a place of safety and welcome to adults facing homelessness in southeastern Connecticut. About 600 people will seek help this year. We welcome every individual as our guest at our shelter and Daytime Hospitality Center on State Pier Road in New London.
The Human Services Division of the Mayor's office oversees the non-profit human services delivery system to safeguard and improve the general wellbeing of City residents.
The New London Public Schools’ Welcome Center is a one-stop shop for all of your NLPS needs. At this center, you can register your child for school (including our innovative year-round program for grades K-5), learn about our magnet pathways, access student transportation information, learn about our Multi-Lingual Learner services, and even receive information about employment opportunities.
NECCOG is focused on achieving results for our member towns through regionalism — offering a range of voluntary — member initiated programs and services — depending on the collective and/or individual needs of our member towns. Our regional approach to problem solving enables our member towns to achieve efficiencies and economies of scale that individually would be difficult to realize.
For more than 70 years, Norwich Human Services has provided social services to Norwich residents. Our department is an umbrella agency encompassing three divisions: Adult and Family Services, Rose City Senior Center

The Southeastern CT Enterprise Region (seCTer) is the designated private, non-profit Economic Development Organization providing a broad range of services and resources to stimulate and support economic development and diversification within the region. seCTer primarily serves the businesses, residents and municipalities of New London County and the Town of Windham.
The Shiloh Development Corporation (SDC) is a private non-profit corporation, which operates the Shiloh Family Life Center (SFLC), located in the heart of New London, CT. The mission of SDC is to meet the needs of the community through creative programs across generational, socio-economic, and cultural lines.
The Southeastern Connecticut Community Land Trust (SE CT CLT) is a membership-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization that holds land for the development and stewardship of permanently affordable housing, land for food production, green space, and facilities for community organizations.
The Southeastern Connecticut Council of Governments (SECOG) is a public agency with representatives from twenty-two towns, cities, and boroughs, formed to provide a basis for intergovernmental cooperation in dealing with a wide range of issues. SECOG membership also includes the Mohegan and Mashantucket-Pequot Tribes, the CT Department of Transportation, and Southeast Area Transit (SEAT).
The Southeastern Connecticut Housing Alliance (SECHA) was incorporated in 2006 as an advocacy organization, dedicated to promoting affordable housing in southeastern Connecticut. SECHA took the place of the Blue Ribbon Panel for Housing, which was formed following a 2002 study of housing needs in the region. Today, SECOG and SECHA work closely, with SECOG providing administrative and program support to SECHA.

Thames River Community Service is an essential organization providing housing and support services to formerly homeless residents, primarily of New London County. In our main building 21 parents ages 18-24 and their young children reside in one of 21 apartments. Additionally, we serve area youth in the community who are at risk of homelessness. Our mission is accomplished by promoting family and individual wellness, by empowering an achievable plan for successful independent living, to pursue significant employment, to acquire life skills and to maintain stability.

WAIM was founded in 1984 as an association of churches, synagogues, fellowships, and concerned citizens to help neighbors in need in Northeastern Connecticut.
Founded in 2003 as the Windham Region No Freeze Project, Project HOPE provides compassionate housing and homeless services for Eastern Connecticut.
Our organization has evolved from a cold-weather shelter into a comprehensive housing services provider. Our new name reflects our expanded reach and year-round mission.
